Christians

Not because we have achieved a level of good works, but because we have become convicted that we are sinners in God’s sight and have come to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as the only One who can forgive our sins by His substitutionary death on the cross.

A Church

Not because we meet in a building for worship, but because we are people united together by a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as our Saviour who is the Head of His Church.

Evangelical

Believing the Bible to be God’s word and rejoicing in those truths rediscovered at the time of the Reformation, that salvation is by God’s grace alone.

Baptists

Because we believe in the New Testament practice that when a person comes to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour, they declare that faith to others by means of believers’ baptism.

Independent

We do not belong to any denomination, but we do have close links with other Bible-believing churches in the South West.
